Because LP gas is heavier than air, this detector should be installed no more than 18" from the floor for accuracy purposes.
The risk of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning goes up when you use fuel-burning appliances, and propane (LP gas) is most of the time the first choice of power in Recreational Vehicles. This 2-in-1 alarm gives you detection, and peace of mind from the possible dangers of both gasses.
This alarm will only indicate the presence of gas at the sensor. Gases may be
present in other areas.
Test Alarm operation after vehicle has been in storage, before each trip, and at
least once per week during use.
The detector is not sufable as a smoke or fire detector. Not sufable for
installation in hazardous locations as defined in the National Electrical Code.
Activation of this device indicates the presence of LP gas, which can cause an
explosion and/or fire. This normally indicates a leak in the LP gas piping or an LP
gas appliance.
Evacuate all persons from vehicle.
Shut off gas supply at gas container or source.
Do not touch any electrical sw~ch , or use any phone or radio in vehicle.
Do not start vehicle's engine or electric generator.
Contact nearest gas supplier or qualified Service Technician for repairs.
If you cannot reach a gas supplier or qualified Service Technician, contact the
nearest fire department.
Do not run on gas supply until gas leak(s) have been repaired.
